The end of this Prelude of my life...or so it seems

woot woot.

Things are coming together. Not only for Stephen (my cousin) and Chelsea's wedding in 2 weeks, but for mine as well.

We're having the bachelorette party on Friday which, other than my speech, is the last major thing that I have to do. Its going to be very laid back, and I'm not exactly sure what all it will entail, just that there is a trip to Chuck E. Cheese in there somewhere. :)

On to other news, This wedding of mine is doing me  no good. I suddenly find myself daydreaming about the actual day over and over, going over details here and there. Its times like these where I wish Tom could read my mind when I try to talk to him about stuff. Its getting quite exhausting.

Well finally, Tom and I settled on a hall and a rough guesstimate of a guest list (about 200), and a rough draft of our wedding party. Now that was harder than I thought it would be, problem being lack of girls and too many people all together. The last big things we need to figure out are colors, food, and our first dance. I've got one that my heart is basically set on, and Tom, who hates to dance otherwise, found a song. Now this song, while pretty, will just complicate things and I'm not all that enthused about it.

I apologize for the vagueness of all of my ramblings. I've just been thinking to myself while I type but I dont want to ruin any suprise. Oh boy, oh boy, I'm not making any sense...

So thats about it. Oh, I'm finally making some tiny improvements that I've been meaning to for some time now:
-Texture painting the walls of the guest room using a bristled broom to create vertical lines. (very cool)
-and tearing up the old sticky tiles in the bathroom, fixing the uneven hole thing in the floor, and putting down new sticky tile to better match the walls.
- Tom is also tearing up the carpet in the guest room once I'm done painting and putting down some new carpeting.

So much fun! :D

Alright Kids.

This is it. I'm engaged.

Tom and I had both mused over the idea for a while and had spent the past 2 months looking at rings, the past couple weeks deciding/arguing over how big or small the stone should be (I wanted a smaller one), and throwing this thing together.
Through all of this, I thought that being this involved in the process would make the impact of finally getting it, not so big.

I was sooo wrong.
First of all, even though I knew I was getting it, I insisted that he ask me properly, and figure out a way to do it somewhat romantically without me expecting it, and he did a pretty swell job. :D

ah.

I'm still constantly looking down at it, and am constantly reeling everytime I realize what that little piece of metal on my finger means. That means that I'm so in love with this fellah that I'm willing to haul this rock (white sapphire) around for the rest of my life, with said fellah right there with me...until I lose it and smother him in his sleep. ;]

Well, the tentative date is July 7th. Its the 2 year anniversary of when we moved in together. Tom picked it, I think it'll do. Honestly, I would love to just have everything done and just get married tomorrow. I mean, I can wait, but...I cant.

Bah. I'm still reeling...in the good way.

G'night all you lucky folks who get to sleep.

-munch- -munch- -munch-

From day one, I've been having issues with my "diet". In the beginning, it was a way to make sure I fit into my bridesmaid dress come October. I got my dress almost a month earlier than I was supposed to, and, fearing the worst, tried it on.

For some insane reason, it fit. So now I've got an even bigger problem:

I want to continue dieting and start exercising, but I dont have any, and haven't really had, something to push me to make a day-to-day effort. I persuaded Tom to buy a watermelon, some nectarines, and a cucumber the other day, and I've been actually eating the healthy food I bought (for once).
I hope I can continue this healthy(er) eating and start actually doing what I promised myself: working out now that I have Owens at my disposal.

I just have to find something to shoot for.

Any ideas?

I have not been this broke since I've had a job, and I almost dropped out of school after the first day. Not because my classes are long and tiresome, but the cost and the lack of options I'll have with this major is getting to me.

I dropped $115 on my Gov book but luckily Mel let me use her book voucher so I'm only going to be slightly tapped out, and I have to drop another $60 (which is cheap) for my 2 history books today, pay my first $400 payment to Financial Aid before I get an angry email telling me I'd better pay up, then count what few pennies I have left and get a bridal shower and baby shower gift for that stuff coming up.

argh. I'm frustrated, and tired. Time to get movin. Lots to do today.

I'm excited.

...about several things. One of them is school, surprisingly.

I'll explain in a few days.

Working.

G'night.
